About DataScience@SMU

DataScience@SMU is the Online Master of Science in Data Science program from SMU. Delivered online, this program is designed to train and develop data science professionals to analyze and manage data as well as organize and communicate results. The M.S. in Data Science is an interdisciplinary program, with faculty from three SMU schools—Dedman College of Humanities and Sciences, Lyle School of Engineering and Meadows School of the Arts—working together to develop coursework in computer science, statistics, strategic behavior and data visualization.

DataScience@SMU is designed with working professionals in mind. Live classes are held weekly in a virtual classroom, and class size is kept small to facilitate group work and collaborative discussion. All coursework is available 24/7 online or offline via a computer or our mobile app.
