Novin Ghaffari is a statistician, data scientist, and educator. He holds an MS and a PhD in statistics from the University of Texas at Austin. Currently he works as a statistician with the US Department of Transportation alongside consulting engagements. His research interests include optimal transportation and heavy-tailed noise; he has published several results on optimal transport.
